Our Cabin

Welcome

Welcome to our luxury “home from home” in the Trossachs. Our cabin has been built by Island Leisure, who are renowned for the quality of their products.

Having many years’ experience of travelling all over the World we have high expectations of anywhere that we stay and our aim has been to match those standards here.

The facilities at Balquhidder View include:

• Log-burning fire in lounge (starter logs supplied in Winter)
• Central heating throughout
• Flat-Screen TV with streaming and sound bar (Bluetooth connectivity)
• Free WiFi
• All towels and bed linen supplied
• Initial supplies of tea, coffee, dishwasher and laundry tablets, etc
• Fully-equipped kitchen including fridge, dishwasher, microwave and Dolce Gusto coffee machine (bring pods!

We do not allow smoking or pets, we’re afraid.

Balquhidder View – An Overview

From the private parking area the cabin is entered via a lobby which has ample space for all your coats and boots. You then move through, via the central hall, to the Living Room. Here you will find the fully-equipped kitchen with island breakfast bar, a dining area with extendable dining table, and the lounge area with comfy sofas and feature log-burning fire. The room has vaulted ceilings which give a spacious feel, without losing the overall ambience of cosiness. Access to the extensive decked area is from the lounge.

The central hall also leads to the other rooms. The Master Bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite with walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 is normally set up with twin beds, but these can be converted into a super-king bed on request. Adjacent to this is the main bathroom with large bath and shower.

Living Room

This room is the hub of the cabin and is set out to maximise the views across the surrounding countryside. The centrepiece of the lounge area is the wood-burning fire and the two large comfortable sofas bring a cosy and snug feel and provide vantage points from which to take in the views. There is a flat screen TV with streaming services, a sound bar that can be connected by Bluetooth to your music devices, and also plenty of games to keep you occupied during your stay.

The kitchen area is extremely well-equipped with all of the major appliances that you would expect, including dishwasher, fridge, and full-size gas oven and hob. It also has a microwave, kettle and toaster and a Dolce Gusto coffee machine (bring your own pods for this!). You will also find a full range of crockery, dishes pots and pans, etc – hopefully everything you need. The kitchen has an island breakfast bar/food preparation area which we find becomes a focal point for much of the activity in the room.

To one side is the dining area with an extending table that will comfortably seat six, with views across the countryside too. Here you will also find a bookcase with books and maps to borrow during your stay.

Master Bedroom

This room has great views to the west, and features a king-size bed, two bed side tables with lamps, double wardrobe with plenty of hanging space and shelves, and a dressing table with mirror and power sockets. A hairdryer is also supplied. It leads to an en-suite with washbasin, toilet and large walk-in shower. All towels are supplied.

Second Bedroom  

This bright and sunny room is normally set up with twin beds, but on advance request can be set as a super-king bed. It has two bedside tables, double wardrobe with hanging space, and a dressing table with mirror.

Main Bathroom

The main bathroom is accessed from the central hall, but is adjacent to bedroom 2. It has a full-size bath with shower over, washbasin and toilet. All towels are supplied.

Entrance

The entrance lobby features a bench and hanging area for all your outdoor gear, ensuring that it can be dried and stored efficiently and out of the way. There is also a cupboard inside which you will find a washer dryer, cordless vacuum, iron and ironing board, should you need them.

Exterior

The large fully-lit decking area, which is accessed from the lounge, allows you the space to make the most of the wonderful views to the south and west and spend time outdoors. There is a dining table with six chairs and also a barbeque. You will also find in the cabin throws to wrap yourself up in so you can sit outside and relax even on chilly evenings!
