This room is the hub of the cabin and is set out to maximise the views across the surrounding countryside. The centrepiece of the lounge area is the wood-burning fire and the two large comfortable sofas bring a cosy and snug feel to this area and provide vantage points from which to take in the views. There is a flat screen TV, DVD player and a sound bar that can be connected by Bluetooth to your music devices, and there are plenty of DVDs and games to keep you occupied during your stay.

The kitchen area is extremely well-equipped with all of the major appliances that you would expect, including dishwasher, fridge, and full-size gas oven and hob. It also has a slow cooker, microwave, kettle and toaster and a Dolce Gusto coffee machine (bring your own pods for this!). You will also find a full range of crockery, dishes pots and pans, etc – hopefully everything you will need. The kitchen has an island breakfast bar/food preparation area which we find becomes a focal point for much of the activity in the room.

To one side is the dining area with an extending table that will comfortably seat six, and views across the countryside too. Here you will also find a bookcase with books and maps to borrow during your stay.
